London, Feb. 9. The Queen of France has given 50, 000l. out
of her privy purse towards relieving the unhappy sufferers
in the West-India islands. Another person commands a play
the night Mr. Sheridan humanely gave an opera for the
benefit of our fellow subjects in the West-Indies, ruined by
the visitations of God. Sheridan is distinguished for
humanity, and votes against the American war.-- This,
however, must be the result of inattention, and the want of
a very necessary efficient officer about a court, -- a
remembrancer!
