July 19, 1780.  Horsemanship.  Jacob Bates, Proposes on
Tuesday and Friday next, the 25th and 28th inst. (July) to
perform different feats of Horsemanship, on one, two, and
three horses, in his Manage, at the corner of Ninth and
Market-Streets.
He flatters himself he shall give satisfaction to the ladies
and gentlemen that honor him with their company, by
performing for their amusement, several feats in Riding,
never before exhibited in America; having provided a very
convenient and suitable place for their accommodation.
He has divided the Manage into two different places, the
first of which, he proposes selling tickets for, at Sixty
Dollars each; and the second at Thirty.  Both of which may
be had at the Coffee-House, of Mr. Bates, at his lodgings in
Market-Street next door to the Indian King Tavern, and at
the Manage.
The door will be opened at four o'clock, P.M. and the
performances will begin at six.
N.B. He will be much obliged to the gentlemen, not to suffer
their dogs to follow them into the Manage.
