Philadelphia, March 15.  For the Last Time in this City,
Various Equilibriums on the SLACK WIRE, 
With the Flying Rope, in Representation of Mercury, And a
Variety of New Performances, consisting of Fire-Works, and
many other things, by the celebrated Mr. Templeman, (A
native of Virginia) late from Europe.
Will be exhibited on Friday (the 17th instant) at the New
Play-House in Southwark.
He balances a straw, and plays the fiddle on the wire.
He plays with several balls on the wire with great
dexterity.
He takes off his hat under his leg, in a curious manner.
He balances a pyramid of wine glasses, full of liquor, on
the wire.
He sits in a chair on the wire, balances a straw, with a
furnished table before him, when in full swing.
He balances a plate on the hilt of a sword, with the point
of the sword on the edge of a milled dollar, and the
opposite edge of the dollar on the brim of a wine-glass, and
makes all spin like a top.
Also a great variety of other exhibitions with pipes, hoops,
hats, boards, &c. &c. &c. too tedious to mention.
Mr. Templeman will ballance three boys on his feet and
hands, which he will form into a variety of delightful
postures, one of whom he will ballance upon a ladder; and
afterwards will dance the ladder.
The spectators will be amused with a couple of good songs
during the intervals of the performances.
The performance will conclude with a compleat hornpipe, by
Mr. Templeman.
The doors to be opened at six o'clock in the evening, and to
begin at seven.
Tickets may be had at the Coffee-House, City-Tavern, Indian
Queen, at the sign of the Ship Hancock in Fourth-Street, the
Bird-in-Hand Tavern and at the place of performance.
Box Forty Dollars-- Pit Thirty Dollars-- Gallery Twenty
Dollars.
The house will be well illuminated, and the company
entertained with good Music.  It will likewise be well
guarded inside and outside.
N.B. Mr. Templeman returns his most grateful
acknowledgements to the inhabitants of Philadelphia, for the
encouragement they have been pleased to give him.
