Various Equilibriums on the SLACK WIRE, With the Flying
Rope, in Representation of Mercury, 
Such as never were performed on the continent but by the
celebrated Mr. Templeman, (A native of Virginia) late from
Europe.
Will be exhibited on Monday (the 6th instant) at the New
Play-House in Southwark.
He balances, turns and swings on the wire to admiration.
He beats the drum on the wire in full swing.
He plays with several balls on the wire with great
dexterity.
He balances a sword on the brim of a wine-glass, walks
backward and forward, kneels down, and recovers with great
agility.
He balances a pyramid of wine glasses, full of liquor, on
the wire.
He sits in a chair on the wire, balances a straw, with a
furnished table before him, when in full swing.
He balances a plate on the hilt of a sword, with the point
of the sword on the edge of a milled dollar, and the
opposite edge of the dollar on the brim of a wine-glass, and
makes all spin like a top.
Also a great variety of other exhibitions with pipes, hoops,
hats, &c. &c. &c. too tedious to mention.
Mr. Templeman will balance three boys on his feet and hands,
which he will form into a variety of delightful postures,
one of whom he will ballance upon a ladder; and afterwards
will dance the ladder.
The spectators will be amused with a couple of good songs
during the intervals of the performances.
The performance will conclude with a compleat hornpipe, by a
little boy in the character of a sailor, which will be
performed with agility and good humour.
The doors to be opened at five o'clock in the evening, and
to begin at six.
Tickets may be had at the Coffee-House, City-Tavern, Indian
Queen, at the sign of the Ship Hancock in Fourth-Street, the
Bird-in-Hand Tavern and at the place of performance. 
Children, from five years old to twelve, will be admitted
for Fifteen Dollars.-- Box Forty Dollars-- Pit Thirty
Dollars-- Gallery Twenty Dollars.
The house will be well illuminated, and the company
entertained with good Music.  It will likewise be well
guarded inside and outside.
