Forty Dollars Reward. Will be paid by the subscriber for
apprehending and securing in any goal, (so that he may be
brought to justice), a certain William Gray, who made his
escape from the neighbourhood of Elk in the night of the 6th
instant. He is an ill-looking fellow with remarkable red
hair, about five feet three or four inches high, a talkative
insolent fellow, fond of liquor, and frequently boasts of
his honesty, (though a villain) he is a great singer,
appears to be about twenty-five years of age, and is by
trade a wool-comber.

[signed] James Darah
Head of Elk, March 10.
