Last Wednesday at noon "his Excellency Thomas Wharton,
Junior, Esquire, President of the Supreme Executive Council
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Captain General and
Commander in Chief in and over the same, " was proclaimed at
the Court-House, in the presence of a vast concourse of
people,

The bells of the City were rang, and the whole was concluded
with the utmost decency, and no accident happened of any
kind.
