The Wooden Leg.  A Switzer Pastoral:
Translated from the German of M. Gesner.
On a mountain, at the foot whereof the Red River rushes
along the valley, a young shepherd tended his flock.  His
tuneful pipe called forth the seven-fold echo from the
clefts of the rocks, and resounded in cheerful notes through
the vale.
