Dancing and Fencing. Mr. Pike has opened School at the
Lodge Room, in Lodge Alley, for the instruction of young
ladies, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from eight
o'clock in the morning till one o'clock.
For young gentlemen, from four o'clock on the same days till
eight in the evening; and on Saturdays a general practice of
the whole from two o'clock till six.
An evening school from six o'clock till nine, for such
persons as may want practice, or had not an opportunity of
learning very young.
He teaches all the modern dances that can with propriety and
decorum be taught to ladies and gentlemen, with cotillons,
&c. &c.
He teaches the use of the Small Sword at his house in
Second-Street, . . . Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from
six o'clock in the morning to half-past one. Such gentlemen
as chuse to be taught in private, may by applying to him fix
their time.
