Baltimore, June 19, 1773. Ignatius Labat, being under the
necessity of going immediately to Europe to settle some
affairs which cannot be done unless he is there present,
will dispose of the remainder of a lease, being one year and
ten months to come, of the house where he now lives, at the
sign of the Crown and Cushion in Gay-Street, which is
commodiously situated for an Inn or Tavern, . . .
having three rooms on the first floor, three on the second,
two of which can be converted into one large and elegant
room (by means of a shifting partition) very suitable for
balls or public entertainment;
