Mr. Faulks, the Noted Performer in Horsemanship, who has had
the honour of performing before their Majesties, and most of
the nobility in England, Ireland, and Scotland, intends
performing on Wednesday the 26th inst. at Darby; on Friday
the 28th at Chester; on Monday the 2d of March at Mr. John
Jarvis, at the Square; on Friday the 6th at Wilmington; on
Monday the 9th at Newcastle; and on Wednesday the 11th at
Christianna-Bridge: To mount each day at twelve o'clock,
weather permitting.
I.He mounts a single horse, standing upon the saddle, and
rides him, playing on the French horn.
II.He mounts two horses, with one foot in each horse's
stirrup, putting them into full speed, and mounts out of
them to the tops of the saddles at the same pace.
III.He mounts two horses upon the saddles, and will, in full
speed, throw himself upon his back, managing them in the
same manner as though he had the advantage of the common
seat, and rises again, all on the same speed.
IV.He mounts three horses upon the saddles, and rides them
in full speed, vaulting from one to the other.
V.He concludes his performances by riding a single horse in
full speed, dismounting and mounting many times, and will on
that stretch dismount fairly, with both feet on the ground,
vault over the horse, back again, and mount on the near
side.
N.B.He performs on strange horses that he never saw before.
