Boston, November 21.  We have only time to inform the
public, that yesterday arrived here under an escort of
American light dragoons, the Hon. John Hancock, Esq.
President of the American Congress, and first Major-General
of the militia of this state; by his coming into town sooner
that was expected, he avoided some public marks of respect
which would otherwise have been paid him; his arrival was
made known by ringing the bells, . . .
