Twelve dollars reward.  Deserted from Captain John Nice's
company of musquetry, on Sunday the 26th inst. a certain
John Johnson, about 5 feet 5 inches high; a short chunky
well set fellow, short darkish hair, swarthy complexion,
born in Ireland, and is very fond of singing:  Had on when
he went away, a short brown jacket . . . [7 lines, clothing
and knapsacks]  Whoever takes up said deserted and secures
him so that he may be had again, shall receive the above
reward and all reasonable expenses. [signed] John Nice,
Captain.
