Alexander Russell, dancing master, will open school at the
assembly room, in Lodge-Alley, Second-Street, on Monday, the
13th of September, 1773, for the accomplishment of young
gentlemen and ladies in that genteel part of polite
education; those gentlemen and ladies who shall be pleased
to intrust him with the education of their children, may be
assured he will take particular care of their behaviour, as
well as instruct them in every branch of dancing as
practised in the most polite assemblies in Europe. He
teaches the minuet in the newest and most approved method;
likewise double and reverse minuets, britagne, single,
double and triple hornpipes, cotilons, with a variety of the
newest country dances.
  A night class will be opened for such young gentlemen as
cannot attend in the day. August 25.
