Just imported and to be sold, by William and Thomas
Bradford, at their book-store, adjoining the London coffee-
house, the following new publications: . . . The Chearful
Company: or, Songster's Pocket-Book. Containing the most
approved songs, odes, cantatas, &c. in the English language.
Including love, pastoral, hunting, seafaring, jovial, and
several favourite old songs; select airs from operas,
comedies, and musical entertainments; all the favourite
songs, which are sung in the several lodges of Free Masons,
Albions, Antigallicans, Bucks, Choice Spirits, and the
principal societies within the cities and liberties of
London and Westminster. . . .
To which are added, Concise Instructions for Singing in
Company.  A new edition, with considerable additions;
particularly, the songs sung at the public gardens last
summer. For the more ready finding any song in this
collection, they are regularly classed; and, as there are
several that are entirely new, and other that are out of
print, they have the music for the voice neatly engraved,
and bound up in their proper places. Those songs that are
sung to common tunes, have their references.
