By authority. Not acted these three years. By the American
Company, at the theatre in Southwark, to-morrow, being
Friday, the first of December, will be presented, a tragedy
written by the Reverend Mr. Home, Minister of the Church of
Scotland, called
Douglas.
To which will be added, (acted but once) an English
burletta, called
Midas.
For the future the days of performance will be Tuesdays
and Fridays. The orchestra, on opera nights, will be
assisted by some musical persons, who, as they have no view
but to contribute to the entertainment of the public,
certainly claim a protection from any manner of insult.
