Martin Foy, dancing master, just arrived from Europe;
Having acquired from the most eminent professors, the true
movements of a minuet, with proper graces and most exact
time, in the newest and politest taste, also country dances,
in the genteelest manner; begs leave to inform the ladies
and gentlemen of this city, that he has opened a school at
the assembly-room in Lodge-Alley, on Monday last, to be
continued Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, pursuant to the
encouragement of his friends, whose favours he no longer
expects, than his general conduct and merit shall appear to
deserve.
N.B. He proposes teaching gentlemen the use of the small
sword . . .
Any message for him at his lodgings, at the Widow Child's,
in Arch-Street, shall be duely attended to.
