By authority.  By particular desire, by the American
Company, at the new theatre, in Southwark, on Friday, the
23d of January, will be presented, a comedy called 
The Stratagem.
Archer by Mr. Hallam,  Aimwell by Mr. Douglass,  Sullen by
Mr. Wall,  Foigard by Mr. Allyn,  Freeman by Mr. Graville, 
Scrub by Mr. Morris,  Gibbet by Mr. Woolls,  Boniface by Mr.
Tomlinson,  Houmlow by Mr. Godwin, Garshot by Mr. Platt, 
Dorinda by Miss Hallam,  Lady Bountiful by Mrs. Harman, 
Cherry by Miss Wainwright,  Gipsey by Mrs. Wall,  Mrs.
Sullen by Miss Cheer.
With entertainments, viz. singing by Mr. Woolls and Miss
Wainwright, dancing by Mr. Godwin.
To which will be added, a farce called 
The Upholsterer, or What News?
To begin exactly at six o'clock---Vivant Rex & Regina.
No persons can possibly be admitted behind the scenes.
Tickets are sold at the London coffee-house, at Mr.
Frauncis's in Water-Street, at Mr. Hawkins's in Walnut-
Street, and of Mrs. Scott in Lombard-Street; where places
for the boxes may be had.
