By authority.  By the American Company, at the new theatre,
in Southwark, on Friday, the 2d of January, will be
presented, a tragedy called 
Tamerlane the Great, or The Fall of Bajazet, Emperor of the
Turks.
Moneses by a young gentleman; being his first appearance on
any stage,  Bajazet by Mr. Hallam,  Tamerlane by Mr.
Douglass,  Axalla by Mr. Wall,  Dervise by Mr. Morris,  Oman
by Mrs. Tomlinson,  Prince of Tanais by Mr. Allyn,  Zama by
Mr. Platt,  Mirvan by Mr. Woolls,  Haly by Mr. Godwin, 
Selima by Miss Cheer,  Arpasia by Mrs. Douglass
To which will be added 
The Oracle. 
Cinthia, with a song, by Miss Hallam,  Oberon by Mr. Wall, 
Fair Queen by Mrs. Douglass.
To begin exactly at six o'clock---Vivant Rex & Regina.
No persons can possibly be admitted behind the scenes.
Tickets are sold at the London coffee-house, at Mr.
Frauncis's in Water-Street, at Mr. Hawkins's in Walnut-
Street, and of Mrs. Scott in Lombard-Street; where places
for the boxes may be had.
