definitive treaty of peace and friendship between us, the
most Christian King, and the King of Spain to which the King
of Portugal hath acceeded, hath been concluded at Paris the
tenth day of this instant March . . . The ceremony was as
follows: . . .

The serjeant trumpeter, bearing his mace.
