  I must now congratulate you on the success of our arms. 
Quebeck is taken, tho' with the loss of the valiant General
Wolfe. . . . 
  Upon receiving the above joyful news on Friday morning
last, the bells of the town [Boston] were rung at noon, the
guns at Castle William, and those on the batteries in this
town and Charlestown were discharged, and at night the court
and province house were beautifully illuminated, and a great
variety of fire works played off. . . . in the beginning of
the evening are to be entertained with a concert of musick
at Concert-Hall, to which the gentlemen concerned in their
management, have given them an invitation . . .
