St. Jago de la Vaga (in Jamaica) October 7. On Monday last
was published in council, his majesty's royal disallowance
and repeal of the four following acts, passed in this island
in the 1755, viz. . . .
An Act for removing the several laws . . .
On the happy, occasion. . . .
On Thursday evening, at Stewart's tavern in the parade, a
ball was given to the ladies, at which was served up a cold
collation, in the most elegant and superb taste. The
company were very numerous, gay and sprightly, and every
thing conducted with great decorum.
