Extract of a letter from Kilcock, County of Kildare in
Ireland, June 12. We are here in the utmost consternation,
by means of the mob of this town, who having by publick
proclamation invited the mobs of the other adjacent towns,
are now increased to about 1600 . . . They march with
colours flying, drums, trumpets, &c. . . . we think
ourselves in much danger in such a wicked rabble.
