Boston . . . Extract of a letter, dated Highlands, June 10.
. .    We hear from Portsmouth, that the morning of Saturday
last was ushered in by the ringing of the bells of the town,
the discharge of cannon from the fortresses, &c. which
continued with intermission during the day, on account of
the arrival of the important news of the capture of the
British army in South-Carolina. . .
