Every defrauder of the public must be looked upon as a
capital offender, and it is the duty of every member of
society to assist in detecting and punishing such offenders. 
Every soldier in the army may be considered as your servant,
who, if he basely deserts your service, ought to be reduced
to obedience. . . 
  Deserted from my battlion, in the service of the United
States of America; now stationed at North-Kingstown, the
following persons, viz. . . Richard Tinsley, drummer, from
Marblehead, 4 feet 10 inches high, dark complexioned, has
brown hair, 15 years of age. . . [signed] Henry Jackson,
Colonel.  Barber's Heights (North-Kingstown) June 15, 1779.
