London . . . June 6. The court was yesterday the most
splendid of any since the commencement of the present reign.
. .The ball was opened by his royal highness the Duke of
Gloucester and the Dutchess of Graston; and he danced
afterwards with the Dutchess of Portland. The minuets
lasted from nine to near twelve o'clock. Only two country
dances were called, in the second of which their majesties
retired, and the ball ended soon after.
