On Wednesday last his excellency Thomas Hutchinson, Esq;
lately appointed governor of this province, on an invitation
from the corporation of Harvard-College, was pleased to
visit that ancient seat of learning. . .  Then followed an
anthem, composed, set to music, and performed by the young
gentlemen of the college. 
The words of the anthem.
  We have heard with our ears, O' Lord, and our father have
told of thy might!--Thy wonders which thou draft of old; how
thou didst drive out the heathen from among them!
