Sept 17. The ball at the Queen's house on Monday night was
opened by his majesty and her grace the Dutchess of
Ancastor, and his Danish majesty danced with the Queen, who
notwithstanding her being pregnant, danced with great ease.
At the conclusion, which was near five in the morning, his
majesty and the Dutchess of Ancaster closed the
entertainment with a minuet, and about six o'clock their
majesties retired.
Her royal highness the Princess Dowager of Wales, and two
Princes of Saxe Gotha, and the Princess Amelia, were at the
ball at the Queen's palace on Monday evening.
Nothing can exceed the royal entertainment on Monday
evening at her majesty's palace, either in the company
present, provision, order and decorum; every minute article
plainly discovered its magnificence, with that true grandeur
which always accompanies politeness, and every amiable
virtue.
