New York, November 12.  Extract of a letter from the camp,
near the carrying-place, Sandusky Lake, October 5, 1764. . . 
our new acquired subjects the Ottawas, Chepawas, and Hurons,
are gone against the Shawanese, &c. with a bloody belt; they
last night took up the hatchet, and sung the war song, and
danced the war dance. . .
