And here I would humbly submit to the commissioners
appointed by the legislature, that the bridge may contain
only a foot-way; for alas, we too well know, . . . when they

carriages back again.  "Had Cain been Scot, &c."  The
passage is as well known as any in Fingall, or John Hume's
tragedies . . .
