Germantown, February 24, 1779.  Was left in the house of the
subscriber, in Germantown, on the 24th of September, 1777
two eight-day clocks, one with a walnut case, the other
mahogany, maker's name of one Augustine Neiser, Germantown,
the other having a chime of bells, a japanned face, with the
battle between the Gondolas and the Roebuck painted on that
part of the face where the moon is commonly represented, and
no maker's name. . . [16 lines, describing furniture left in
house, ] a house organ, forte piano and violin; two
reflecting burning glasses. . .  [25 lines]  The whole of
the above goods, and many others which cannot be remembered,
were taken away, or destroyed, except a few articles of the
houshold furniture which were returned.
  All persons having any of the above enumerated articles in
their possession, are requested to return them to the
subscriber, and the favour will be gratefully acknowledged;
