In Council of Safety, Philadelphia, November 3, 1776.
Garrison Orders to be observed by the troops quartered in
the barracks of the city of Philadelphia.
I. Reveille to be beat every morning at break of day, the
troop at 8 o'clock, and a long roll of 9 o'clock for the
guards to parade. . . [4 lines]
III. At retreat beating all under the degree of a
commissioned officer must repair to the barracks, 
. . . [4 lines] 
IV. No drum to beat to arms in the barracks but in case of
an alarm, when the whole garrison is to turn out, and draw
up under arms. . . 72 lines].
