Dancing and Fencing. Agreeable to an invitation from several
repspectable families in this city, Mr. Pike (ten years a
teacher in Charles-Town, South-Carolina) is arrived, and
proposes, if the weather be favourable, to open his school,
for the tuition of young ladies and gentlemen, on or about
the 20th of this instant; He flatters himself that his
abilities as a master of his profession, may be sufficiently
known, as many respectable gentlemen of the above province
are at present in this city. Ladies and gentlemen may be
waited on at their own houses, if agreeable, to be taught
cotilions, and other fashionable dances. N.B. The use of
the small sword taught three mornings in the week, and an
evening school as is useful.
