Philadelphia, September 15. On Monday next the General
Assembly of this Province meets here.  On Monday last the
merchants of this city waited on the Honourable Richard
Penn, Esq.; our late worthy Governor, and presented the
following address: . . . [30 lines] To which Mr. Penn was
pleased to return the following answer, Gentlemen, . . . [11
lines followed by 6 lines of description] After dinner the
following toast were drank, each accompanied by the
discharge of the artillery from the barracks. . . . [21
lines] Under favor of the commanding officer, the company
were agreeably entertained with several pieces of music,
performed by the band belonging to the troops now quartered
here; . . . [5 lines].
