Portsmouth, June 23. . . . [6 lines from bottom] Tuesday
evening the Jews synagogue was illuminated and ornamented
within with flowers, [   ] when the Jews all assembled, and
prayed for his Majesty and the Royal Family, and sung
several psalms, and an acoustic ode on his Majesty, wrote on
the occasion, accompanied with musical instruments, till ten
o'clock, when they went in procession from the synagogue
towards the dock, each with a wax taper, singing God Save
the King, accompanied with musical instruments.  The prayers
continued every evening during his Majesty's stay.
