For the benefit of Mr. Byerley, and Messieurs Parker &
Johnson: by authority, by the American Company, at the
Theatre in Southwark, this evening, will be presented a
comedy, not acted these four years, called 
The Recruiting Officer.
Captain Plume, by Mr. Hallam. Serjeant Kite, by Mr.
Douglass. Captain Bramen, by Mr. Byerley. Justice Balance,
by Mr. Morris. Mr. Worthy, by Mr. Woolls. Bullock, by Mr.
Goodman. Justice Scale, by Mr. Dermot. First Recruit, Mr.
Wall. Second Recruit, Mr. Roberts. Melinda, by Mrs. Henry. 
Rose, by Miss Hallam; Lucy, by Miss Richardson. Sylvia (by
particular desire) by Mrs. Morris.
After the play Mrs. Morris will, by particular desire, speak
a second time, the occasional Epilogue, addressed to the
ladies & gentlemen.
A hornpipe, by Mr. Francis.
To which will be added, 
Edgar and Emmeline.
Edgar, son to the Earl of Kent, disguised as a woman, under
the name of Elfrida, by Mr. Hallam.  Florimand, by Mr. Wall.

Emmeline, daughter to the Earl of Northumberland, disguised
as a man, under the by Miss Hallam.  Mrs. Morris, in respect
to those free ladies and gentlemen who, thro' kindness to
her, have advised her not to play the part of Sylvia, begs
leave to assure them, that she performs it now, in
compliance with the request of many friends to the theatre,
and with a fixed rule amongst the performers, to lend each
other every help they can in time of benefits.  Tickets,
without which no persons can be admitted, are sold at the
bar of the Coffee-house, and at Mr. Thompson's, next door to
Hart's Vendue, in Front-street.  Boxes, 7s. 6d. Pit 5s.
Gallery 3s.  To begin exactly 1/2 after 6 o'clock.
