London, May 9. . . On the Lord Mayor and Mr. Oliver being
brought to the Tower Gate, by the proper office of that
fortress, they were received with the greatest
acclamations.Twenty-one pieces of cannon were fired. . . [2
lines] The Artillery Company, with music playing, drums
beating, and colours flying. . . [14.5 lines] The bells upon
this occasion rang throughout London, and general joy
prevailed; . . .
