Deserted from his Majesty's 18th or Royal Regiment of Foot
of Ireland, and from Major Isaac Hamilton's Company, at
Philadelphia, John Kelly, born in the north of Ireland, 22
years of age, about 5 feet 8 inches high, a labourer . . .
[7 lines]  He is apt to sing much in company, has a strong
voice, but much of the brogue on his tongue, and is an idle,
drunken and worthless fellow; he robbed one of his comrades
of near nine pounds currency, the day he deserted. . . [12
lines, another deserted, forty shillings reward]
