Market-street, Philadelphia. The Young Man's Book of
Knowledge; being a proper supplement to the Young Man's
Companion, in five parts, viz.
. . . [The five parts are as follows: Part I. Of knowledge
in general; Part II. Geography, in a manner intirely new;
Part III.  Geometry and astronomy, navigation and
plainsailing; Part IV. Natural Philosophy in general. and
Part V. Theology, containing an account of the religion and
laws of nature. It is in this last part that is included the
following information which has not yet appeared in any
other volume or book for sale in Philadelphia.]
    Of music and vibration. Definition of Music.  Gamut on
scale, and explanation of dividing notes in time, &c. Of the
diatonic scale, an explanation.  Different keys, time, bass,
&c, &c.
