London, May 31. . . . [This follows a description of an
entertainment in honour of his Majesty's birth day.]
Next to the Mansion House, it is reckoned, the Opera House
in the Hay Market was the most grandly illuminated, having
some curious paintings on the front, and the lamps placed in
such manner as to shew sundry emblematical figures and
devices, proper for the occasion.
