Boston . . . Sept. 20.  His Excellency the Governor was
pleased to order the public rejoicings, for the repeated
signal success of his Majesty's arms, in the reduction of
the Havannah, and in Germany, to be on Thursday last. . . [6
lines, morning services]:  In the afternoon the bells rang;
and his Excellency, with the two houses, was escorted by his
Company of Cadets, to Concert-Hall, where a fine piece of
musick was performed, to the satisfaction of a very large
assembly; and in the evening there were beautiful
illuminations. . .
