September 8th.  Procession of victors into town: 3rd
division:]
3.  The light Infantry of the line, commanded by Col.
Amherst, each with a band of musick before them.  And the
eldest ensign in General Amherst's army to take possession
of the colours of the eight French regiments.
  Sept. 9th, 1760.  Camp before Montreal.  The colours of
shirley's and Pepperel's Regiments, lost at Oswego (in 1756)
was marched out of Montreal by a detachment of grenadiers,
and a band of musick; and carried down the right of our
line, to head quarter, where they were lodged.
