London. . . Sept. 7.  Yesterday eleven colours, taken from
the French at Louisbourg, were brought . . . to St. Pauls. .

Vicars Choral and choristers of the said cathedral; and as
they walked to the choir the following anthem, composed by
the late Dr. Crofts, was performed.
  We will rejoice in thy salvation. . . [6 lines]
The colours were deposited in the Lord Mayor's vestry, and
the anthem being finished, the Dean and Residentairies took
their stalls in the choir, and evening service began, in the
course of whereof the following anthem, composed by Dr.
Greene, late Organist and composed to the King, was sung.
   The King shall rejoice in thy strength, O Lord: . . . [16

  After the general thanksgiving, the prayer of thanksgiving
upon the taking of Louisbourg was read, and the service
being ended, the guards marched back to their several
quarters.
