Bristol [England], May 23.  On Thursday last, about twelve a
clock at noon, the Mayor, Aldermen and Common-council of the
city of Bath, met at Guildhall, and unanimously agreed to
present the Right Hon. William Pitt, late one of his
Majesty's principal Secretaries of State, and the Right Hon.
Henry Bilson Legge, late Chancellor and Under Treasurer of
his Majesty's Exchequer, with the freedom of that city in
gold boxes, amidst the joyful acclamations of a great number
of gentlemen, freemen, &c.  The bells of the city rung
(without fee or reward) till almost twelve a clock at night.
