Lancaster, April 3, 1757.  Run away last night, from the
subscriber, Tanner, living in West Fallowfield township,
Chester County, a molattoe man, named Monday, but gives
himself the name of Charles Leeper, is about 22 years of
age, 6 feet high, and well set;  Had on a felt hat, fair
colour'd wig, or linen cap, either a coarse or fine white
shirt, dark brown coat and jacket, buckskin breeches, dark
colour'd stockings, and a speckled silk handkerchief.  He
pretends to beat the drum, and it is thought he will
endeavour to get on board a privateer; he has a scar on his
right eyebrow.  All masters of vessels are forbid to carry
him off. . . [terms, thirty shillings, reward, signed]
