Philadelphia, March 25, 1756. Notice is hereby given, that
the subscriber proposes to open an evening school on Monday
the 29th inst. between the hours of five and eight, at his
school-house in Front-street, on Society-hill, for the
instruction of young ladies, in writing and arithmetick, and
to improve them in the rules of spelling and reading with
propriety (of such importance) when psalmody will be taught
to those who desire it, by [signed] Robert Cather.
