London. . . Nov. 16. . . Having lately mentioned the ages of
four sisters, now alive at Picardie in France, to make
together 342 years, we have since been favoured with an
account of the ages of four sisters now living and in health
in the parish of St. Dunstan's without Westgate, Canterbury,
the eldest being 88, the next 86, the third 84, and the
youngest 82; in all 340.--- They are the daughters of one
Thomas Palmer, a bell-founder, who cast the great bell in
St. Dunstan's Church, and whose name may be seen on some of
the old bellmetal skillets still used in this country.
