Philadelphia, December 8, 1754. Run away last night, from
the subscribers, living in Chester, Pennsylvania, two
English servant men; . . . [9 lines] The other named Thomas
Wood (but 'tis supposed they will both change their names)
his cloathing a homespun shirt, short white jacket had black
specks in it, but are partly worn out an old flannel jacket
under it, old fustian breeches, and white yarn stockings.
He is of a fresh complexion, is very impudent, apt to sing,
and had lost one or 2 of his fore-teeth. They stole a
brig's long boat, then lying in Chester creek; . . . [5

N.B. They are both well acquainted in Maryland, and at the
