By a letter from Edinburgh, we are informed, that on the 2d
instant Mr. Whitefield, being at Glasgow, and preaching to a
numerous audience near the Play-house lately built, he
inflamed the men so much against it, that they ran directly
from before him, and pulled it down to the ground.  Several
of the rioters are since taken up, and committed to goal.
