New-York, Nov. 30. 1747.  Articles of agreement, made this
11th day of November, 1747, between John Farrell, commander
of the James Frigat (a letter of marque mounted with 22 six
and nine pounders, swivels, blunderbusses, and all other
warlike stores in proportion, fitting for her intended
voyage to the Leward Islands and Great Britain) in behalf of
himself and owners of the one part, and the ships company of
the other part.
  Imprimis, that whatever shall be taken during the said
voyage, one half thereof (besides the wages agreed on) shall
belong to the said ship's crew, and the other half for
account of the owners.
  2d, that the Captain shall have four full shares, and all
pribiledges as usual with privateers out of this port.

5th, That the carpenter's, gunner's, and boatswain's mate,
as also the Captain's clerk, and French horn man, or
trumpeter, shall each have one and a quarter share.

   All gentlemen sailors and others, who are minded to enter
on board said ship, may repair to the said commander at New-
York, or to Joseph Redman in Philadelphia, and be more
particularly informed.
