Copy of the relation sent by his most Serene Highness Prince
Charles, from the Head Quarters at Lauterbourg, the 7th of
July, 1744. . . [1 column] The whole corps under General
Nadasti performed wonders, 6000 men having held out the
whole day against 40,000 and given the army time to
establish themselves in the lines.  The enemy had about 2000
men killed, without mentioning the wounded and the
prisoners.  We took four standards, one pair of Hessian
colours, and the kettle drums of a Hessian regiment, which
was intirely destroyed. . .
